I used to write a lot. I stopped for quite a while because it hurt too much. Sometimes I still want to write, but when I sit down to do it, it's difficult and all the thoughts that seemed great and deep a second ago seem whiny, foolish, and undeserving of existence in or out of my own head. I know that these feelings are more than likely incorrect, so I'm giving it a shot. If you're reading this journal, you probably know me already. If you aren't take a second and say hi.

More about me - I'm a deep thinker and deeply spiritual, though a lot of that has been stunted by some serious trauma in my life. I would be a goth, maybe, if it was convenient. I think the movement encompasses a lot of ideals I feel strongly about, but the problems associated with getting a job and dealing with people, not to mention being taken seriously by non-goths keep me out. Some people consider themselves "weekend" goths, I consider myself a once a year goth and an armchair goth the other 364 days. I think it's a shame that we have to cast out some of the best qualities of humanity: a respectful search for the understanding of death, appreciation of alternative spiritualities, an appreciation for some of the darker things in life.
